A vehicle was loaded onto Navic Cloud and triggered a camera.
An alert was posted to the relevant WhatsApp group. Security Forces reacted and the vehicle was pulled over by Provincial Traffic with assistance by the Farm Watch of the area. One of NAVIC™’s personnel made contact with the Investigating Officer. It was determined that the vehicle was stolen; and then afterwards, it was re-registered and sold to an unsuspecting person.
The vehicle was taken to the local SAPS station, from where the Investigating Officer was contacted. The vehicle was then handed into Albertinia SAP13 Camp.

Stolen vehicle recovered in Mossel bay area due to proper coverage of entrance and exit routes by NAVIC™ ANPR!
The vehicle was flagged on Navic Cloud as stolen. An investigation by a SAPS member on the NAVIC™ system showed that the vehicle did not leave the area where it was stolen from. SAPS started a search because if the stolen vehicle left the area it would be picked up by NAVIC™ cameras. In a short time, the vehicle was recovered; saving SAPS time by limiting the area of the search for the stolen vehicle. At the time the vehicle was recovered by SAPS it had not even circulated on the SAPS system. No arrests were made at this time.
Proper covering of entrance and exit routes of your area by NAVIC™ ANPR cameras can minimize the loss of revenue of stolen property.
ARMED ROBBERS/KIDNAPPERS ARRESTED Paarl, Western Cape | 2022/02/23
On 2022/02/18 a vehicle was loaded on Navic.Cloud for armed robbery and kidnapping that took place in Paarl East.
On 2022/02/23 that vehicle triggered a camera in Vierlanden and an alert was posted to the relevant WhatsApp group.
Titanium Securitas immediately responded to the ANPR alert. They followed the vehicle and contacted SAPS who requested
Titanium Security to keep an eye on the vehicle, which they did until SAPS arrived. Three suspects—all of whom were in the house—were arrested for further investigation. Later, it was confirmed that two of the suspects were identified positively in the Paarl East case.

THEFT OUT OF MOTOR VEHICLE SUSPECTS ARRESTED 📍Simon's Town, Western Cape | 2022/02/14
A vehicle in connection with a case of theft in Simon's Town was loaded onto the Navic Cloud system.
At 11:38 on the same day, the vehicle triggered a Navic Cloud ANPR camera in the area.
Security forces and SAPS responded to the alert and were able to stop and search the vehicle. During the search, a bag containing various suspected stolen items and bank cards were seized.
Three suspects were taken to SAPS for further investigation.
DRUG TRAFFICKERS ARRESTED 📍Cookhouse, Eastern Cape | 2022/02/14
In the early morning hours of the 14th of February, 2022, a vehicle with possible links to drug trafficking, triggered Navic Cloud cameras near Cookhouse. SAPS CPU (Crime Prevention Unit) responded to the alert and were able to stop the vehicle for a full search.
During the search, SAPS discovered 100 grams of Tik, with a street value of R30,000.00, hidden in the vehicle. The drugs were seized and the suspects arrested.
CASH IN TRANSIT HEIST SUSPECTS ARRESTED 📍Sasolburg, Free State | 2022/02/04
Three vehicles were loaded onto Navic Cloud on February the 4th, 2022, for involvement in a cash-in-transit heist. Soon after, two of the vehicles triggered Navic Cloud cameras near Sasolburg.
Two of the vehicles have been recovered and multiple arrests secured.
FRAUDSTERS APPREHENDED 📍Redelinghuys, Western Cape | 2022/02/09
A vehicle flagged for theft and fraud-related incidents triggered the Navic Cloud cameras near Redelinghuys. The alert was sent to all groups involved, for response.
Due to their quick response, the vehicle was found and stopped by Redelinghuys SAPS.
The two male occupants were escorted to Porterville SAPS where the investigation officer took them into custody while the vehicle was seized.
BURGLARY SUSPECT APPREHENDED 📍Langebaan, Western Cape | 2022/02/12
A residential burglary incident occurred at a popular holiday resort along the West Coast. The vehicle and suspects were identified and flagged on Navic Cloud Vredenburg Vispol members responded to a verified NAVIC™ ANPR alert in the Langebaan precinct, where the suspect MV (Motor Vehicle), an Audi A4, was spotted and stopped by SAPS.
Upon further follow-ups; presumed stolen property, break-in implements, as well as a blue light— which is often used in vehicles to impersonate Law Enforcement Agencies—was also found.
The vehicle and stolen property were seized and the driver detained, as per the Investigating Officers instructions.

A home invasion occurred in Patensie on the evening of February the 6th.
One victim was tied to a chair during the home invasion, while another was kidnapped. After being kidnapped, the victim was taken to Humansdorp and forced to withdraw money from their bank account. The suspects then drove the kidnapped victim to an isolated location, where he was shot and left for dead. Fortunately, he survived.
Meanwhile, the victim who was tied to a chair back at the house had been able to raise the alarm and find assistance. Once SAPS were alerted, the manhunt began. The registration number of the victim's vehicle was obtained by an employee of a local security firm, "Exec Ops;" who passed it along to Navic Cloud. NAVIC™ personnel immediately uploaded the vehicle details to Navic Cloud.
Soon afterwards, the vehicle was seen by Navic.Cloud cameras near Cookhouse which triggered an alert. Three people were arrested and two firearms were seized by Cookhouse SAPS after chasing the vehicle down. The fourth suspect is still at large and the victims are recovering in the hospital.

After a vehicle that was flagged in connection with a murder investigation triggered Navic Cloud cameras, an alert was sent to the appropriate response groups. Quick response from the group responders in conjunction with SAPS the vehicle was stopped.
The vehicle was searched and an unlicensed firearm was found in the vehicle. The suspect was arrested, and the vehicle seized, with the murder weapon, an unlicensed firearm.
RESIDENTIAL BURGLARS ARRESTED 📍Hermanus, Western Cape | 2022/02/03
During a recent success in Hermanus, a vehicle sought in connection with a burglary in the area triggered one of the Hermanus Navic Cloud ANPR cameras.
The vehicle was spotted driving with furniture tied to the roof and Law Enforcement was contacted to assist. At first, the suspects in the vehicle denied any involvement with the burglary but were soon confronted with the facts. The Navic Cloud platform was used to confirm their alibi but instead, it proved that they were involved in the burglary at the property in question.
The three suspects were arrested by SAPS and their vehicle was seized.

With two separate cases of fuel thieves being arrested, the Eastern Cape has had great success recently.
The first case occurred near Cradock. Cradock SAPS received a report of fuel theft in the area. Through the Navic Cloud community camera system, Cradock Sekuriteit and SAPS tracked the vehicle to Cookhouse. Two suspects were arrested, and the vehicle was impounded.
Secondly, there was a case in Kleinpoort. Through the use of the Navic Cloud system, SAPS tracked and apprehended the suspect.
