STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED
Mossel Bay, Western Cape

Stolen vehicle recovered in Mossel bay area due to proper coverage of entrance and exit routes by NAVIC™ ANPR!

The vehicle was flagged on Navic Cloud as stolen. An investigation by a SAPS member on the NAVIC™ system showed that the vehicle did not leave the area where it was stolen from. SAPS started a search because if the stolen vehicle left the area it would be picked up by NAVIC™ cameras. In a short time, the vehicle was recovered; saving SAPS time by limiting the area of the search for the stolen vehicle. At the time the vehicle was recovered by SAPS it had not even circulated on the SAPS system. No arrests were made at this time.

Proper covering of entrance and exit routes of your area by NAVIC™ ANPR cameras can minimize the loss of revenue of stolen property.

Well done to all involved.

NAVIC is the way to go. Once this system saturates the country, this type of crime will reduce immensely.

Great #teamwork! 💫😎

Well done

I would have loved it more if the headline read "Armed robbers/kidnappers fatally wounded" Now that would have brought immense joy to my heart.

KIDNAPPING & ATTEMPTED MURDER SUSPECTS ARRESTED
📍Patensie, Eastern Cape | 2022/02/06

A home invasion occurred in Patensie on the evening of February the 6th.

One victim was tied to a chair during the home invasion, while another was kidnapped. After being kidnapped, the victim was taken to Humansdorp and forced to withdraw money from their bank account. The suspects then drove the kidnapped victim to an isolated location, where he was shot and left for dead. Fortunately, he survived.

Meanwhile, the victim who was tied to a chair back at the house had been able to raise the alarm and find assistance. Once SAPS were alerted, the manhunt began. The registration number of the victim's vehicle was obtained by an employee of a local security firm, "Exec Ops;" who passed it along to Navic Cloud. NAVIC™ personnel immediately uploaded the vehicle details to Navic Cloud.

Soon afterwards, the vehicle was seen by Navic.Cloud cameras near Cookhouse which triggered an alert. Three people were arrested and two firearms were seized by Cookhouse SAPS after chasing the vehicle down. The fourth suspect is still at large and the victims are recovering in the hospital.

We pray for their speedy recovery and thank everyone who played a role in this arrest.
