📍Malmesbury, Western Cape - Wednesday, 8th of January
On Wednesday morning, a vehicle triggered Navic technology in Malmesbury.
Malmesbury SAPS responded and the vehicle was stopped near the N7.

The occupant was taken to SAPS Malmesbury and identified. It was found that the suspect was wanted in regards to a shoplifting case in Bredasdorp.

This proves it; OPEN A CASE NO MATTER HOW SMALL THE CRIME MAY BE! Doing so provides SAPS with the necessary information, ensuring that arrests can be made and prosecution can be pursued 💪🏼

3 ARRESTED FOR COURIER HIJACKING - Read below👇
📍Muizenberg, Western Cape - Tuesday, 7th of January
A vehicle flagged for driving with fake/cloned plates and hijacking triggered one of our systems in Muizenberg. Responders were alerted of the vehicle's presence.

An off duty Law Enforcement officer found the vehicle in Southfield and requested back up. With the help of BH Tactical Security, Grassy Park SAPS and Metro Police, the vehicle was stopped in Athlone.

After checking the VIN number, the vehicle was confirmed to be sought and the occupants were positively linked to a courier hijacking and multiple other cases. The 3 suspects were immediately detained!

Starting off the year with a BANG! 💥 Thank you to our ever-vigilant responders.

COURIER HIJACKERS FOUND WITH POACHED ABALONE STASH! Read the story below 👇
📍Muizenberg, Western Cape - Saturday, 30th of November 2019
A vehicle that had been flagged for hijacking a courier van triggered one of many Navic cameras in the Muizenberg precinct.

Muizenberg SAPS responded and the vehicle was soon stopped. Upon searching the vehicle, 480 units of poached abalone were found, with a possible street value of over R100,000! 3 suspects were arrested and further investigations continue with possible links to other armed robberies in the area.

What is NAVIC?

NAVIC Cloud’s predominantly crime fighting ANPR image recognition Vehicle Analytics system is currently being expanded to provide a customer determined Process Flow to act on actionable events determined by a recognised behaviour from activity of objects identified by their signatures. This include pure Deep Learning Pattern Recognition for automated behavioural categorisation of behaviour, and tie this to concern levels.
