STOLEN BAKKIE RECOVERED
📍Graaf Reinett, Eastern Cape

A single cab Toyota bakkie which was initially reported stolen in the Harare Western Cape area was picked up by Navic Cloud ANPR technology in Graaff Reinet in the Eastern Cape.

The bakkie, destined for inter-provincial travel, was soon found and stopped by the swift acting Police members of Graaff Reinet SAPS.

The driver was detained for the possession of a stolen vehicle
Another one bites the dust!

DRUG DEALER DETAINED
📍Durbanville, Western Cape

An Audi flagged for suspect drug dealing triggered a hit on the Navic Cloud database.

The vehicle was found by Volunteer SAPS reservist members and upon searching the vehicle, numerous varieties of Narcotics were found.

Further follow-ups done by these Police Officers uncovered more drugs ranging from Marijuana, Magic mushrooms, LSD & then some! The drugs were seized and have an estimated street value of R20 000.

The driver was arrested for the dealing & possession of illegal substances.

MOBILE TOWER RAIDERS BUSTED
📍Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape

On Friday 20 August 2021, two (2) Mobile Towers within Port Elizabeth were targeted for their cable and batteries respectively. Later the same day, there was an attempt on a third Mobile Tower. Combined Private Investigations (CPI) was informed about these incidents and their investigation team started the investigation and intelligence gathering process.

A witness at one of the Mobile Towers provided CPI with a vehicle registration number as well as the description of the vehicle in question. The ownership of the vehicle was determined and the number was searched on the Navic Cloud Database and it was established that it had already been loaded onto the system. The vehicle movements were monitored on the Navic Cloud Database and on 28 August 2021 it triggered one of the cameras in the direction of Hankey. On the same day, the South African Police Service, Hankey arrested two (2) suspects for the theft of two (2) Mobile Tower Batteries.

On Tuesday, 31 August 2021, CPI managed to link the same vehicle to a second tower which was targeted on Friday, 20 August 2021. The investigation is still ongoing.

MURDER & EXTORTIONISTS ARRESTED
📍Wellington, Western Cape | 2021/08/22

On Sunday 22 August 2021 a vehicle of interest pinged the Navic Cloud Ecosystem when passing an ANPR Camera in Wellington, in the Western Cape.

The flag was for Murder Suspects who initially allegedly committed the crime in Aliwal North, in the Eastern Cape. All resources hit the ground and the vehicle was found in a joint operation by Law Enforcement and SAPS members.

After a brief pursuit, two Foreign National male occupants were detained by the Police in Malmesbury. Upon searching the VW Jetta they travelled in, a Firearm was found. The occupants were collected by Aliwal North Detectives and are in transit back to the Eastern Cape where they will face charges of Murder & Extortion.

The power of Navic Cloud is unmatched and we commend the bravery and determination of the officers involved, to bring these perpetrators to book.

📍Claremont, Western Cape

A recent rise in Cellphone Theft saw yet another victim falling prey to the theft of their smart device in Claremont, Main road, WC.

The suspect vehicle was identified and flagged on Navic Cloud.
A few days later, the vehicle triggered NAVIC™ camera systems from Muizenberg, to Lakeside, to Plumstead where the vehicle was monitored by a volunteer NHW Patroller.

SAPS soon intercepted the vehicle in Claremont and the single male driver was arrested. Further follow-ups done by these diligent Police Officers, uncovered 12 other smart devices; numerous sets of car keys for different models; Cocaine with a street value of approximately R14 500; weighing & packaging equipment; various passports, and R25 000 in cash.
The driver was detained for the unlawful possession & distribution of Narcotics & presumed stolen property.

Detectives are hard at work with further linkages and we are confident more arrests are imminent.

A modified M series BMW positively circulated on a Paarl case for April month triggered Navic Cloud Moorreesburg & Malmesbury technology.

The vehicle was found by LE Officers & SAPS. After a brief pursuit, the vehicle was stopped and the driver was detained for the possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

You can run, but you can't outrun the mighty hand of the Law.

CHAMPAGNE SHOPLIFTERS APPREHENDED
📍Kenilworth Western Cape | 2021/08/19

Our NNOC was contacted by recent partners BH Tactical Security, alerting us to an attempted shoplifting incident at a local retailer in Meadowridge in Cape Town.

A vehicle search was done on Navic Cloud technology & the last known location & direction was relayed to Officers on the ground.
The vehicle was soon spotted in Wynberg & SAPS was dispatched.

Whilst calmly maintaining eyes, SAPS soon caught up and stopped the Vehicle in Kenilworth. The male driver aged (34), & two female occupants, aged (18) & (34) were apprehended.

The Kia vehicle was searched and numerous bottles of high-end Champagne & clothing apparel was found with no proof of purchase or ownership available.

All occupants were escorted to Diep River CSC by SAPS with the assistance of BH Tactical Security. The Cherry in this glass of half-full champagne? One of the female occupants was a Wanted suspect identified via SAPS fingerprint system.

LAW ENFORCEMENT & SAPS RECOVER A STOLEN FIREARM FROM 1997
📍Kouga, Eastern Cape | 2021/08/20

Police have arrested a male (61) & female (28) for the unlawful possession of a Stolen Firearm and 7 rounds of Ammunition.

A VW Mk1 Golf, initially flagged on Navic Cloud for a Robbery incident in the Kuilsriver WC area, was found travelling along the N2 Van Stadens bridge in the Eastern Cape. The Vehicle was found by Exec Ops anti hijack and Protection & Provincial Traffic members.

Upon searching the vehicle, a Luger 9mm Firearm and seven rounds of ammunition was found. The serial number was tested and the Firearm was established stolen on a Gelvandale 1997 case. The two occupants were detained by SAPS & all necessary authorities attended the scene.

As per the media release statement - Acting District Commissioner, Brigadier John Lebok added: “The advancement in technology is positively contributing towards crime reduction. Technology increases ways where suspects could be linked to crime scenes. Through advanced technology, a criminal's freedom will be curtailed and they will no longer be able to run from the law', added Brig Lebok.
