STING OPERATION LEADS TO ARRESTS 📍Vaalpark, Free State
After several weeks of planning and surveillance by The SAPS K9 Unit, Public Eye Task Team, SAPS Crime Intelligence, and Other Sasolburg Police members, a Sting Operation were executed in the Vaalpark area.
Three suspects were arrested after a substantial amount of illegal substances were found at the property of interest.
The surveillance towers in Vaalpark as well as other Belrex ANPR cameras linked to Navic.Cloud was key to obtaining the required info pertaining to this matter. For almost two months data was monitored and collected.
Well done to all involved and for sacrificing many hours of relentless surveillance, gathering of info, and having little sleep.
STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED 📍Potchefstroom, North West
Members of Fezile Dabi District Highway Relief responded to a Navic.Cloud alert that was circulated by the Innovative Monitoring control room in regards to a stolen Silver Toyota Yaris on the R57 towards Sasolburg.
The vehicle was located and two suspects were arrested for use of a vehicle without the owner’s consent

A Navic.Cloud alert was received by the Innovative Monitoring control room regarding a Mahindra involved in a RAM courier armed robbery earlier that day.
Members deployed to try and locate the suspects. Two vehicles travelling together on the N1N were spotted by the members, one vehicle matching the alert details. Teams managed to stop the first vehicle, while the second vehicle sped away but was stopped by members shortly after.
Further investigation was done which led to the recovery of some of the stock was recovered, together with a large amount of cash, the clothes used in the crime and the arrest of four suspects. Later the suspects gave up the location of a safe house where they went after the robbery and the members proceeded there where they found more empty boxes and packets belonging to the earlier courier robbery.
The suspects were detained by SAPS and exhibits were booked in.
SUSPECTED COPPER CABLE THIEVES DETAINED 📍Parys, Free State | 2022/09/15

On the 15th of September 2022 a Navic.Cloud Alert was actioned by the innovative monitoring control room. The alert contained information in regards to a white Toyota Fortuner connected to copper cable theft.
The vehicle in question had previously been stopped for the same crime and at that stage, three suspects had been detained for possession of Eskom equipment. The current alert also stated that the vehicle was travelling on the R76 to Viljoenskroon and might enter R59 to Vredefort or Parys.
Members of Parys Security were sent to locate the vehicle. Once located they called for backup to assist with the takedown. The vehicle had pulled into an Engen Garage and members performed a tactical takedown of the vehicle. The three suspects were asked to exit the vehicle so that it could be searched, the search delivered a grinder with a used cutting disc, six (6) new cutting discs, an extension cord, a crowbar and a 14-pound hammer.
The suspects were then escorted to SAPS and detained for possession of house break-in implements.
A Navic.Cloud alert was sent to the Innovative Monitoring Control room in regards to a black Toyota Fortune that had attempted to hijack a diesel tanker in Hoopstad. The suspects were confirmed to be armed at the time.
Members were mobilized to intercept the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and three suspects were arrested.
On the 22nd of September 2022, the Innovative monitoring control room received a Navic.Cloud alert of a stolen white VW Polo driving in the direction of Sasolburg.
Members were mobilised and the vehicle was recovered at R57 near Wolwehoek. Upon investigation the driver was identified as the new owner of the vehicle, he was about to take the vehicle to VISS for clearance . The vehicle was then seized and handed over to SAPS.

On the 25th of September 2022 a Navic.Cloud alert was received by the Innovative Monitoring control room of a possible cloned Toyota Etios heading towards Vanderbijlpark. The vehicle was intercepted on Potch Road by the above-mentioned members and stopped by HP SAPS and Barrage SAPS.
The on-scene investigation revealed that various of the identification details of the vehicle had been tampered with. The vehicle was booked into SAPS for further investigation.

A vehicle listed as wanted for other crimes as per the correlating SAPS case number triggered the Innovative Monitoring Navic.Cloud cameras in the area on the 20th of September 2022.
Members were dispatched to intercept the vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and two suspects were arrested.
One suspect was arrested for possession of drugs (crystal meth & Madrax), and the other for assault. Both arrest were made after consulting with the relevant investigating officers. The vehicle was also handed over to SAPS.
DRUG SMUGGLERS ARRESTED 📍Caledon, Western Cape | 2022/09/20
A vehicle that was being monitored on suspension of transporting drugs and stollen goods triggered the Agri Protection Navic.Cloud cameras near Caledon.
An alert was sent out to all relevant groups for action. The vehicle was stopped on its way back to Hermanus in the direction of Caledon by the Overberg Task Team. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and 10 Parcels of dagga and cocaine was found in the vehicle.
Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested for possession of dagga and cocaine.
A vehicle sought in connection with the theft of truck tyres was loaded to the Navic.Cloud system. The innovative monitoring control room received the alert as soon as the vehicle triggered the Navic.Cloud cameras in the area.
Teams were dispatched to locate and stop the vehicle. Highway Patrol managed to stop the vehicle and stolen tyres and rims to the value of R50 000 was found in the vehicle.
All 5 occupants of the vehicle were arrested for possession of stolen property.
A vehicle suspected to be linked to stock theft was spotted on the N10 National Road by Cookhouse Highway Patrol. The vehicle was stopped and searched, with the occupants acting very suspicious. Members at the scene requested the vehicle to be loaded to NAVIC™ – National Vehicle Intelligence Cloud Navic.Cloud for future monitoring.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that the vehicle was sought in a similar case. At the time the vehicle was stopped the complainant was busy opening the case at Fort Beaufort SAPS. With the assistance of Navic.Cloud the vehicle was stopped again at approximately 00h42 on the 13th of September 2022, both occupants were detained, and the vehicle was handed over to SAPS
A vehicle was loaded to Navic.Cloud for use without owner consent.
Shortly after the vehicle was loaded it triggered Navic.Cloud cameras in the Sundays River Valley area. The vehicle was stopped by Kirkwood SAPS. The underage driver of the vehicle was arrested, and the vehicle was recovered.
NACOTICS SEIZED 📍Oudtshoorn, Western Cape | 2022/09/10
A vehicle that was loaded to Navic.Cloud for suspicion of transporting narcotics and stolen goods triggered Navic.Cloud cameras in Oudtshoorn. The Alert was sent out to all relevant groups for action.
Oudtshoorn SAPS managed to get eyes on the vehicle and a high-speed chase ensued. The suspects then abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. The vehicle was searched and found the following: 92.7grams for Tik 27 Mandrax Tablets Narcotics to the street value of R90 000-00.
Both the Narcotics and vehicle were seized by SAPS.
DRUG SMUGGLERS DETAINED 📍Langebaan, Western Cape | 2022/09/10
A vehicle that was loaded to Navic.Cloud for suspicion of transporting narcotics triggered Navic.Cloud cameras near Langebaan. The Alert was sent out to all relevant groups for action.
The vehicle was stopped and searched by the Rural flying squad. The search revealed a large quantity of KHAT hidden in the vehicle, the street value is unknown. Both the occupants of the vehicle were detained for possession of KHAT
Yesterday afternoon, just after 3pm, the Mi7 Surveillance Net flagged a white Ford sedan reported stolen as per a case opened with Sydenham police.
The vehicle was flagged by Mi7 surveillance systems on Church Street. Mi7 Control Room Operators worked quickly to conduct a vehicle check with the police, and confirmed the vehicle is still being sought.
Mi7 Armed Response units were immediately dispatched to the area and a widespread search for the vehicle began. Within only ten minutes, Mi7 Reaction Officers spotted and intercepted the vehicle in the vicinity of Boom Street.
The three occupants were detained at Pietermaritzburg police station and the matter is under further investigation.
ARMED CARD SCAMMER ARRESTED 📍Heilbron, Free State | 2022/09/03
On the 4th of September, a vehicle that is being used by confirmed card scamming suspects triggered the Innovative monitoring Navic.Cloud cameras near Heilbron. The innovative monitoring control room sent the alert out to all relevant groups for action.
The vehicle was stopped and the occupant was detained for questioning. Members also found a firearm and a few live rounds of ammunition in the vehicle.
Earlier this morning, just after 8am, Mi7 National Group received a distress call from a vigilant community member who reported seeing the occupants of a white Volvo abduct a teenage boy on Mysore Road, Northdale.
According to the community member, two occupants emerged from the vehicle, assaulted the victim, and forced him into the vehicle - which had no number plates.
Mi7 Control Room Operators immediately got to work, scanning footage from the Mi7 Surveillance Net in the area. By inserting the vehicle's details into the system, despite it having no number plates, the Mi7 Surveillance Net was able to automatically scan through all footage from our strategically placed surveillance cameras in search of all vehicles matching the description which passed by the cameras in a specified period.
Through the Mi7 Surveillance Net, Control Room Operators were able to get pictures of the vehicle, which were forwarded to Armed Response units already searching the area.
Eventually, a Mi7 Reaction Officer spotted the vehicle on Mysore Road and immediately moved to intercept it. Upon questioning the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, it was found that he was working for an e-hailing service.
According to the driver, three men booked his service and while en route between destinations, requested that he stop the vehicle. When he did, two men got out and confronted a young man on Mysore Road, pulling him back into the vehicle. The driver said he was instructed to proceed to the Sobantu area, near the low level bridge where all three men and the victim jumped out. The driver then proceeded back to the Northdale area.
The driver took Mi7 Reaction Officers to the spot where he left the suspects. There, Mi7 teams, along with members of the police who had since been dispatched, found three suspects severely assaulting the victim.
All three were promptly apprehended and the victim transported to a local hospital by Mi7 Emergency Medical Services.

HIJACKED VEHICLE RECOVERED Durbanville, Western Cape | 2022/09/04
A hijacked vehicle that is also linked to a case of petrol theft triggered Navic.cloud cameras on the 4th of September 2022
The alert was sent out to the relevant groups and shortly after the vehicle was stopped. The 4 occupants of the vehicle were arrested for possession of a hijacked vehicle and theft of petrol. The vehicle was recovered.
SHOPLIFTERS ARRESTED 📍Caledon, Western Cape | 2022/09/01
A vehicle linked to a shoplifting case in Heidelberg, Wester Cape was loaded to the Navic.Cloud. The same vehicle triggered Navic.Cloud cameras near Caledon and the alert was posted to all relevant groups.
The vehicle was stopped by Overberg Highway Patrol and Rapid Leo. A search of the vehicle revealed stolen property to the value of R2000. All 3 suspects was detained for possession of suspected stolen property
