COPPER CABLE THIEVES ARRESTED 📍Heilbron, Free State | 2022/08/28
On the 28th of August 2022, the Innovative Monitoring control room received a Navic.Cloud alert pertaining to a vehicle involved with copper cable theft.
The information was shared with Fezile Dabi Highway relief who dispatched their task team. The team intercepted the vehicle and the vehicle was stopped on the R57. A search of the vehicle revealed a load of copper cables. One suspect was arrested.
STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED 📍Potchefstroom, North West | 2022/08/29
On the 29th of August 2022, the Innovative Monitoring control room received a Navic.Cloud alert of a stolen vehicle travelling on the N12. Responders in Potchefstroom were activated and the vehicle was stopped.
Four suspects were arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.
SUSPECTED CLONED VEHICLE RECOVERED 📍Heilbron, Free State | 2022/08/07

On 2022-08-07 at about 10:20 an alert was sent to the Belrex control room of a white Toyota Conquest that is suspected of being a cloned vehicle.
Teams were mobilized and the vehicle was stopped on the R57. The vehicle was thoroughly searched and the 2 occupants were questioned. The search of the vehicle revealed that the Vin number was cut out from the engine.
The vehicle was then booked in at Sasolburg SAPS for further investigation and no suspects were detained.
Yesterday afternoon, at around midday, a Mi7 surveillance camera, equipped with Navic's Automatic Number Plate Recognition software, flagged a vehicle wanted by police in relation to a case opened in Boksburg, Gauteng.
The vehicle, a grey BMW, was flagged by Mi7 surveillance cameras on Wally Hayward Drive, in the Ashburton area. It is believed the vehicle was wanted in relation to a case involving a theft of motor vehicle.
Mi7 Armed Response units were immediately dispatched and a search for the vehicle began. Within 10 minutes, Mi7 Reaction Officers spotted the vehicle in Bisley and brought it to a halt.
The vehicle, along with its occupants, were handed over to the police for further investigation.
Mi7's surveillance net now comprises 160 individual cameras spanning 56 locations in Pietermaritzburg, Hilton, and Howick - all of which have been installed at no cost to our communities.
The Navic.cloud cameras in the Fishriver area were triggered by a vehicle associated with a poaching syndicate in the Overberg and Cape Point areas, together with a second suspect vehicle.
The vehicle resisted SAPS's attempts to stop it, and a high-speed pursuit ensued. The suspects lost control of the vehicle during the chase, which allowed SAPS to make the arrests. 72.81kg of Abalone with a street value of R 131 058 was discovered inside the Vehicle.
The second vehicle was also stopped and searched, and an additional 34.41kg of Abalone with a value of R61 938 was found along with diving suits and gear for 14 divers.
